This is a story about adapting a VT06 (Diesel train) from Liliput in order to let it operate with digital AC. On Märklin-tracks.

What is aVT06? This is a German diesel passenger train, build in the 1930's. It was then known under the class name of "SVT137 Bauart Köln", aka "Fliegender Kölner". Later, after the second world war, it was renumbered under the class name of VT06. The train has had different colour scheme's during it's lifetime.

Before the war violet/beige, short after the war blue/gray, but also dark blue, serving as a "F-zug" (long distance train) and finally in the standard colour sceme of "diesel red" of the DB (Deutsche Bundesbahn, era IIIb).
